Mirembe and Nour translates to Peace and Light. Mirembe is a Lugandan name which was given to me by a Ugandan friend. Nour relates to the Arabic origin of my name Eleanor. It felt important to include both an African and Arabic name as the pieces I will be selling are mostly inspired by or from Uganda, Ghana and the Levant.

When I buy items to sell from other makers ethical practices are adopted such as the maker names their price.

Minimal waste is also important to me and you will see that most items in my shop are made from recycled materials from magazines to brass. Even the packaging you receive your purchase in will either be recycled or will be recyclable.
